I hate to say it, but I play Veggie Samurai more than I play Fruit Ninja.Veggie Samurai is one of the many clones in the in the AppStore. Some do it bad, others not so much.
Veggie Samurai by QuantumSquid is a game in which you have to slash n' dash veggies. Although it may be similar to Fruit Ninja, it has one feature that sets it apart from it, the ability to multi-slice. Veggie Samurai brings that familiar food-slicing gameplay you may already know and love, while the new multi-slice feature adds much more. Multi-slicing is executed by cutting the vegetable more than once. The aim of the game is to chop as many vegetables as you can. The controls are easy to learn. All you do is just swipe across the screen to cut the veggies. The game includes two modes, "Samurai ' and "Harmony" mode which are basically the same as the "Classic" and "Zen" mode in Fruit Ninja. In Samurai mode you chop as many vegetables as you can. You avoid poison bottles that appear on-screen, if you hit one the game is over. In the Harmony mode you slice as many vegetables as you can in 2 minutes. The graphics in this game are nice. The game runs at a slow rate and the vegetables sometimes fell clunky. The replayability is excellent, you will never get bored.
Overall, this game plays great, looks great, but is not very original, in fact the only thing that is different from Fruit Ninja is the multi-slice, and interactive menu's. I think it's a great deal for $0.99, but if you already have Fruit Ninja, I would advise you to stay away.
